Voter Registration
Once you’ve officially moved, you should take time to register to vote. Here are the guidelines for residents of Nevada.
You may register to vote if you aren’t current registered to vote in Clark County, if you want to change your address, if you wish to change your party affiliation, or if you changed your name since your last registration.
In order to register you must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years old at the time of the next election, have continuously resided in Clark County for at least 30 days, claim no other place as your legal residence, or not be laboring under a felony conviction. If you meet all the qualifications, you can submit a voter registration application. To do that, you’ll need to give your name, address, date of birth, political party affiliation, driver’s license number, and signature.
Where to Register to Vote
You may register in person at the Clark County election department, any city clerk’s office, the Department of Motor Vehicles, or any Nevada state welfare agency or WIC office. You can acquire mail-in voter registration applications at any City Clerk’s office, the Clark County Election Department, most utility companies, libraries, political party headquarters, chambers of commerce, and/or post offices. If you do not receive your card within two weeks after submitting a voter registration application or updating your registration data or if you lose your card and would like another, then call (702) 455-VOTE (8683).
